I’m Renee Kimball, a writer, wife, and mom sharing real-life experiences about co-parenting, blended families, and redefining what family can look like.
I grew up in a close-knit, multi-generational home in Maine, where family was always at the center of everything. That foundation shaped me, especially when I became a young mom and began navigating co-parenting from the very beginning of my son’s life.
Co-parenting from infancy into adulthood wasn’t always easy. It came with challenges, growth, and a lot of learning along the way. Over time, what started as something uncertain became something steady. We built a system that worked, not perfectly, but intentionally, always focused on what was best for our son.
Today, I’m part of a blended family that reflects years of effort, communication, and shared commitment. We’ve built not just a co-parenting relationship, but a solid bond of friendship and family. I’m currently writing my memoir, Two Happy Homes, One Happy Family, which tells that story from the early days of co-parenting through raising a child into adulthood.
Through my writing and this space, I hope to connect with others navigating similar paths and show that family doesn’t have to look traditional to be strong, supportive, and full of love.
